Enriched Kaolin AKF-3 from the Alliance Deposit is a medium-plasticity kaolin concentrate obtained through wet beneficiation. It contains approximately 99% of particles smaller than 63 μm, with 60–80% of particles smaller than 10 μm.
Enriched kaolins possess characteristics that determine the formability of the kaolin mass (plasticity, casting ability, binding properties) and ensure high product quality after drying (shrinkage behavior, water release without cracking). They also exhibit sufficient dry bending strength and contribute to defect-free firing.
Enriched kaolin is widely used in the production of:
-
Porcelain and faience
-
Ceramic tiles
-
Frits, glazes, and engobes
-
Sanitary ceramic products
-
Paints and coatings
-
Artificial leather and linoleum
-
Electrical engineering products
-
Refractory materials
-
Paper and cardboard
-
Perfumery products (soap manufacturing, creams, powders, facial masks)
-
Pharmaceutical formulations (purified kaolin serves as an inert binding additive)
-
Coagulants for drinking and industrial water purification
