Enriched kaolin

Enriched kaolin in the "Alyans" deposit is a medium plastic kaolin concentrate with a particle content of less than 63 microns of the order of 98%, with a particle content of less than 10 microns is in the range of 30–40%. Enriched kaolins have properties that determine the formability of the kaolin mass (ductility, castability, bonding ability) and the quality of the products after drying (shrinkage, water loss without cracking), and also have sufficient bending strength in the dry state and ensure defect-free firing.

Enriched kaolins have a wide range of applications in the productions of:

  • Porcelain and faience;
  • Ceramic tiles;
  • Frit, glaze and engobe;
  • Sanitary construction ceramics;
  • Paint and varnish production;
  • Faux leather and linoleum;
  • Electrical products;
  • Refractory products;
  • Rubber and plastic products;
  • Paper and paperboard;
  • Perfumery products (in the manufacture of soaps, as part of creams, powders, masks);
  • Pharmaceuticals (purified kaolin is an inert binding agent);
  • Coagulant for the purification of drinking and industrial waters;

MAIN CHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF PRIMARY ENRICHED KAOLIN:

  • Aluminum oxide Al2O3 not less than 34%,
  • Silicon oxide SiO2 no more than 52%
  • Iron oxide Fe2O3 no more than 1%,
  • Titanium oxide TiO2 not less than 0,8%.
